"Nuquí" is the first window of the series to open its doors. It isn’t trying to depict a landscape — it builds the atmosphere that lives inside one. The depth of the green, the humidity you feel before you see it, the muffled roar of the jungle colliding with the sea. This isn’t the postcard version of the Colombian Pacific. It’s the feeling of standing at its edge: the wet ground beneath vegetation that never ends, the exact instant where the jungle surrenders to the ocean and the ocean still hasn’t fully accepted it.
"Nuquí" was the first piece in the series to travel. It was left in a house in Berlin, chosen at random, along with a note: "I hope a small piece of my home now lives in yours." Carrying a fragment of Colombia to a city an ocean away, asking for nothing in return. Today, somewhere in Berlin — a city that contrasts with the Pacific in every way — there’s a house with a window looking out onto Nuquí.
